Carolina Mountain Woodturners

We are glad to welcome back the Carolina Mountain Woodturners to our 16th Annual Extravaganza.  Carolina Mountain Woodturners (CMW) is a 501(c)3 non-profit, educational Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW). They usually meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month - from 10 AM to 4 PM - at the Folk Art Center, on the historic Blue Ridge Parkway, just South of mile marker 382 in Asheville NC.

They will have members working with anyone that is interested in how to turn wood on one of their many lathes.  They will let people try turning on their mini-lathes beginning at 10 am and continuing until 4 pm. We will start a new group each hour.

Participants will be able to make one of the following:

Bottle Stopper
Bud Vase
Honey Dipper
Yo-yo
Spinning Top

Make sure to stop by their booth and try your hand at woodturning.  Youth can certainly participate.
